Seven Layer Salad

celery, chopped

Spanish onion

(10 oz) frozen peas, cooked, cooled, drained

mayonnaise

sour cream

cheddar cheese, shredded

bacon strips, fried until crisp, ...

...then crumbled

Place shredded lettuce in a large salad bowl. Add in layers the chopped celery, green pepper, onion and peas. Mix together mayonnaise and sour cream and spread over peas. Do not mix. Sprinkle sugar over the sour cream mixture and top with shredded cheese. Sprinkle bacon over cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 hours or longer. Gently toss before serving, mixing ingredients well.
