Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and beat thoroughly after each addition. Add sifted dry ingredients in thirds alternately with cream, beating until smooth after each addition.

FILLING Mix sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Grease and flour a 9" tube pan. Sprinkle a layer of filling in pan. Spread a layer of batter on top. Repeat layers, total of 3 each. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

A sugared cinnamon and nut mixture tops this sour cream cake baked in a tube or turk's head form pan. The walnut topping is layered with the batter when filling the pan.
