Old-Fashioned Meat Loaf

dried parsley (qty 1-2 tsp)

worcestershire sauce

slices bacon, halved

Preheat oven to 350°.

Melt butter in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until tender, 5 minutes. Add garlic and thyme. Cook 30 seconds more. Transfer to large bowl. Cool Add meats, bread crumbs, egg, 1/3 c ketchup, and the milk, parsley, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Pat into 9 x 5" loaf pan. Spread top with remaining 2 tbsp ketchup and arrange bacon on top.

Bake 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes. Drain drippings and discard.
